Favourite thing about working in the Her Invest team?
I love my job as a Paraplanner with Her Invest and being able to find and research solutions that genuinely meet our clients’ needs. I also find it rewarding to pass on my knowledge and experience to our more junior members of the team and not only supporting other women forge their career in our industry but assisting our clients with their financial wellbeing.
Previous Experience & Qualifications
I started my working life in a sports shop during the day and evenings in a restaurant whilst I waited to join the Royal Air Force at the tender age of 18. I spent 14 years in the military, and this gave me the opportunity to travel and work in many different places. When I settled back into civilian life, I had many different roles until in 2011 when I fell into financial services, and I have not looked back. I channelled my skills and experience into becoming a qualified paraplanner. I joined Tarran & Co Financial Planning in 2015 with a short 2 year break until rejoining in 2021 and in my role here I lead the paraplanning team, as well as being in charge of Operations for the business.
What makes you happy?
Spending time with my family, eating out (I am passionate about good food), going on holiday to relax and unwind from working so hard! (I have a few booked this year!)
