Why have you launched Her Invest?
Her Invest has been created by women, for women. It’s a place where women can feel comfortable to ask the questions they need to know about finance. You don’t need to know the jargon or know the ins and outs of finance, you just need to know where to go and Her Invest is that safe, non-judgemental, experienced place to seek advice.
Why is financial security so important, particularly for women?
It gives you choices – whether it’s to leave a relationship, to take a career break, to have that time off when you have children. More women are working; there are more female business leaders than ever before. Financial security has always been important, but I’ve seen so many scenarios over nearly 30 years where if women had some capital behind them, they could make changes.
What are your key drivers in business?
I love what I do. I love problem solving and helping people and I like the numbers and making money for clients and getting them to their goals.
What does success mean to you?
It’s not about my success. If we see more women seeking financial advice and more women coming into the financial industry, that is success to me.
